Cable shunting device NV 15-200
Cable shunting device NV 15-200 (buffer truck) is designed for shunting and handling railway vehicles up to 2800 tons on dead-end corporate railway sidings.
Device NV 15-200 consists of the basic technology units, placed in the area of the given railway track:
- Drive station
- Return station
- Buffer rail car
- Electric accessories
Between the drive and the return station placed in the rail track is led transport rope that pulls the buffer rail car on the railtrack. It is possible to shunt train units in both directions in case of manual or automatic connections of the buffer truck´s coupler with railway vehicle´s hook. The device is able to completely replace economically demanding operation of locomotive in the given handling space, or obsolete method of shunting using towing rope, it increases work safety of shunters, and increases operator´s comfort, and saves handling time. The device NV is operated by 1 person instructed by the supplier. Electrical equipment is controlled by the control automat and frequency converter, which ensures precise stopping of train units for exaple below hopper nozzle, or on weighing machine. Control panels are firmly placed on the places of loading (unloading), including warning signalization. At the request of a user it is possible in appropriate places of the space to place control panels, for example - in the operator´s control room of the hopper. In case of insufficient visual contact of the operator with the tow device is video surveillance system a good complement. Control of the device is also possible via radio remote control. It is possible to integrate NV 15-200 into automated operation controlled, for example, by a computer. The delivery of the device includes installation, training of operators, and complete project design documentation.
